hey all
i wanted to come out here and let you all know of a mud i recently found about about called spaceworlds. it's in building stages but they are allowing players. to check it out, go to:

if you restrict to games that aren't in beta you'll never find games to play. even some of the top games are still marked as beta

Mud stands for 'Multi User Dungeon'. It's basically a multiplayer text game, and the first ones came out around 1990.

The word 'dungeon' isn't really accurate anymore, because there's space muds and most games aren't based on dungeons and dragons. There are also other kinds of servers that are less game and more socializing, such as mushes and moos.

Muds can be very different from each other, and some of them have much better visually impaired support than others. If you're going to try one out, it's best to look around and pick one with good VI support, such as the one I run, Alter Aeon.
